it's true, we are destined to fail
there is a problem here,
with our society
the absence of my tears,
is my sobriety
i have a growing fear,
and you're not helping me!
am i the only one
who realizes it's true?
beat, but i'm not broken
guide me through with your hand
lead with your words spoken
show me how to listen

Zebby smiled when Josh moved into a sitting position, taking a seat next to him on the couch. She felt truly exstatic to see him again. She'd thought something had happened to him, since she hadn't seen him in so long! But he was still in one piece, still alive.

"We know," she said to his "haven't seen you in ages" comment. "It's been so long, hasn't it. We were actually starting to worry about you." I was starting to worry too! Kelsie chimed in. Zebby rolled her eyes. "Kelsie was worried too." Do you still have a crush on him or something? Zebby asked. No.. Kelsie replied, unconvincingly. ..Maybe. Zebby chuckled lightly, shaking her head slightly. You're hopeless, she commented. I know, Kelsie laughed.

"We're.. good," Zebby lied. "You?" She wouldn't tell him her attacks were getting worse. If she'd worried about him, he would probably do the same for her. She didn't want him to worry about her. He was already under enough stress in this place. It's still wrong to lie, Kelsie chimed. What if you attack Josh? Why did Kelsie have to make such good points? He can handle himself, Zebby thought, trying to convince Kelsie and herself. Josh was strong enough, right?

Hm... A government inspection? She was unsure of what they were checking. The hospital? The workers? The patients? All three? Something else? She was rather confused about the situation, but everyone seemed to be acting rather strangely. Well, stranger than usual. Margot did not let it affect her though. She just kept on with what she usual did. Sitting where they told her. Going where they told her. Doing as they said. Trying not to cause any more of an uproar than she had a few months earlier, and that had ended with her locked up in the cells. Those horrible places. That horrible place! She would not go there again. And she would do absolutely anything to keep away from them. Even her room was better. There was a little window, a door, cracks in the white walls, room to stand, and a bed to hide under. It was better to be there than down where there was simply nothing. Plus, she still had the scars from the little hand cuffs they'd taken her down there in. Thankfully, unlike Josh, who had been down there with her, they had taken them off when she was shut up inside. They never seemed to be as mean to her as they were to Josh. And he didn't seem so bad. Of course, she'd never really known what was wrong with him that brought him here. She had only met with him on a very few occasions.

Today was a rather quiet day. She was taking little steps down the hallway, her feet going toe to heel, toe to heel, never separating, one in front of the other in a very quick pace. She was getting used to this hall. It was the only place she ever went down if she could help it. And again, very quickly at that. She was wearing a dress, blue with three quarter length sleeves, and it went down to her knees. She did not wear shoes unless someone told her to.

Just as she turned out of this hall Margot found the same person she had been thinking about before. "Hi." She said to Josh very quietly indeed.

Government inspection.

Those two words had caused such turmoil over the past few days, he was almost unsure of whether he was still awake. Had he slipped into a coma induced by an over dosage, or were these strange changes really happening around the asylum? The staff were suddenly acting almost nice, even though they still jabbed a painful needle in his arm and injected drugs into his blood to keep him from blacking out and making a fuss about things as he usually did. They hadn't quite closed off the cells, but they were only being used in what an inspection would consider necessary situations. So... that didn't exactly keep him clear of the hot water. His attacks were violent and full of rage, and that gave them perfect excuses as to why he could still be regularly detained. He scowled even as he thought of this, hating them.

Josh shuddered slightly as he felt the needle pierce his skin, still unable to get used to the fear that gripped him during the process. Stupid phobia of needles, wasn't a very good thing to have when getting shots was an almost daily thing. He wanted to strike the woman holding it, but seeing as his hands were cuffed behind his back for safety reasons, it was pretty much impossible. God damn it, this sucked. As he sat there, loathing them for dragging him into such a place, labeling him as clinically insane, an idea came to him, and he let his dark hair fall across his face to conceal the smirk that had appeared there.

They had to be careful of their actions. But he didn't.

In the heat of the moment, his brain started to go into overdrive. Maybe... just maybe... there was a chance that he could worm his way out of this place. The staff here didn't listen to a single thing that the patients said, ever. But these government inspectors just might be easier to trick with his charming and convincing facade. He hadn't used it in so long, so he'd need to practice so he wasn't rusty when they arrived. Which was... shit. Later today, according to word of mouth. Then he'd need to find someone soon.

Over the years, London has turned into a town of crime and destruction, and now three species inhabit it:
    Werewolf,
Vampire, and of course, their pray,
    the Human.

But this world isn't big enough for all of them.

Humans are well aware of these races they share the land with.
Werewolves and vampires are no longer just myths and legends. There are quite real and could be lurking around the next corner.

This isn't the only thing you have to worry about, however. The illegal selling of drugs and weaponry have also become quite popular in the town of London, especially with the vampire mafia, Izan.

Werewolves despise the Vampires.
Vampires despise the Werewolves.
It's a constant war for territory and food supply.
A treaty of peace has been signed, and the werewolves are currently 'in charge' of London.
But the vampire mafia, Izan, has different plans.
And unfortunately, the humans are stuck in the middle.
How long to you think this little treaty is going to last?

How long have you been in this hole?

Lizzie blinked, an obvious question. She had never met Josh before, and had few friends at the institute anyway. It was always best to be alone. "About a month, there's not much to it. I met a few people that were worth remembering but so far I'd rather be living off my own blood, sweat, and tears." she answered him plainly. Now matter how bad she wanted out of the little shit hole she was in, she couldn't. She was slowly rotting away from the inside out. "How about you?" she asked, returning his question.

Lizzie's eyes went back to the guitar. She wanted to hear it one more time. That was probably the best thing about music. It was never the same, it never got boring. She almost envied people who could resist the sound of it's strings, the shine of it's body. It was like a drug....drugs. Liz's mind began to race just thinking about them. She tried her best to ignore the temptation of both drugs and alcohol. However, if she had the chance at doing a line of cocaine or nabbing some marijuana, she would take it.

"Play something, your guitar is begging to be touched." she said in a playful voice. If he didn't, she would. That's the whole reason why she came over, well that and there was nothing else to do. She breathed out softly. A puff of gray air surrounded her face, it was getting cold. Liz clenched her hands together, fingers interlocked. She looked out of the tiny, three inch thick window of glass on the wall. Behind the dust and grime she could see fat, white clouds forming. Rain! She loved to be in the rain. Just standing in it, feeling every icy drop on her skin. It was calming.

She couldn't calm down. She just couldn't! Josh did not understand. Noone did. Noone ever understood what all of this was about. Panicking all the time, claustrophobia surrounding her wherever she went. Freaking out, loosing her head. Crying. Acting like a total moron. It had always been like this. Always. And when they had realized it, they had put her here. And it didn't matter why or how anymore.

But there was something in his voice. Josh's voice. It was something in the way he acted. He was the only thing even close to a friend she had had here and Margot welcomed it with open arms. She didn't want to screw this up. She didn't want to loose him to. So she tried. Tried to calm down and get herself together. Tried to stop crying and panicking. She turned on the heel of her foot and pressed her back against the cold wall. "I'm sorry," she said. "I'm claustrophobic." Margot hardly ever used the word to describe it. She just sort of went with it all and lived like she always had. But aparently she had a "condition" and it had a "name" and there was a "cause". She couldn't care less.

"I'm just being weird," she mumbled, breathing easier. "I just need to calm down and relax. Everything is fine." She muttered to herself. "Let's just keep going." Then she stopped leaning against the wall and shakily went over to Josh. He was stronger than she was. She should just stay with him. Let him take her where she needed to be. She had to put her trust in him and hoped he wouldn't mind.

Josh nodded in agreement to her words, relating with that wholeheartedly. Without his music, he would have given in and killed himself already. Listening to the thrashing beats of Alesana, he could convince himself not to give up, to keep going and fighting, if only to prove everyone that doubted him wrong. "Same here," he asserted with words. He usually would have attacked anyone that dared so much as brush a finger across his precious instrument, he was very protective over the guitar, but he didn't make any move to hurt her. She was a fellow player, she wouldn't do any harm to it, and plus, he would probably do the same if he was in her position. How could you see an instrument as appealing as the guitar and not want to reach out and touch it?

"Josh," he replied upon the inquiry about his name. Hopefully she didn't call him Joshua, else he might just end up hating her like all of the rest. He despised the name Joshua with a passion. It just sounded so proper and formal. He liked Josh, though. His name was one of the only things his parents couldn't fuck up. They'd screwed up everything else about him. They were the reason he was spending his life cooped up in an asylum rather than spending the night/day (you seriously couldn't tell the time of day in this place) with family and friends. He wished he could be normal at times, but he never spent long pondering it. It wasn't going to happen.

Ever.

So why obsess over the impossible? "How long have you been in this hole?" he asked, obviously indicating the asylum.
