it's true, we are destined to fail
there is a problem here,
with our society
the absence of my tears,
is my sobriety
i have a growing fear,
and you're not helping me!
am i the only one
who realizes it's true?
beat, but i'm not broken
guide me through with your hand
lead with your words spoken
show me how to listen

(January 14th)

Margot did not know how she got here. Maybe she had slept walked? Maybe she had just wandered over here aimlessly. But suddenly she found herself in a living nightmare. Her worst fear. A long, narrow array of hallways that never seemed to end. All the doors she had tried were locked and she had not come across any windows yet. She must have been in the center of the building. Wherever she was, she had to get out.

She was standing at the end of a hall that was shaped like an L. In the very crook of the hallway was where she was, her back pressed against the corner. This was a place for people who were out of their minds? That's what she had heard. So where was everyone? What time was it? She had no idea. Margot stared down each pathway, then decided to take the shortest one. She ran and ran and ran, and finally, after what seemed like a year of running, she got to the end and went down another hall. And another. And another. She was lost? She was lost? How, she had no idea. But she couldn't find anyone. She didn't know where anything was. She had room, but it's location was foreign to her aswell.

And with that realization she sank down onto the floor and buried her hands in her face, hiding from the place that was closing in around her. Hiding from the places that she couldn't seem to find. And last of all, from her greatest fears.

Alix had decided he'd go for a nice long walk. He needed the excerise and with the stupid crazies in the weight room here he didn't want to risk a dumbell through the skull. So he'd decided to walk the many hallways of the asylum.

He headed downstairs, dressed today shirtless with a pair of black Tripps. He wore combat boots and his tattoos shown out to all the kids around him. He had gotten his extensions put in that morning and his hair was long and recently dyed black. His makeup was black eyeshadow and black lipstick. He headed down the halls and thought he heard a noise.

As he turned down the L-shaped hallway he spotted a girl taking off running. He sighed, seeing the panic on her face. He took off at a slow jog after her until she darted around another hallway. He headed after her and found her crouched in a corner with her face buried in her hands.

He walked over the chains and handcuffs on his Tripps jingling. He crouched down infront of her and smiled, lifting her face gently from her hands with two fingers. He smiled at her, feeling in a happy and affectionate mood today. It was a highly unusual mood but must've been sparked by his medicine.

"Hello, dear. Are you lost? Maybe I can help you." He said with a warm, friendly smile on his face, his voice persuasive and seductive.

He slid onto his knees infront of her and gazed quickly over her body. She was a pretty young thing and he rather liked her looks. So...innocent. He smirked quickly, and held out a hand, wanting to help this girl, help someone for once in his life.

Margot could here foosteps approaching her where she was posistioned on the ground. She burried her head farther into her hands. She would not come out. This was the only safe place for her. In her mind there were no places to small to be in. There was none of this fear and pain. It was all perfectly alright. Enclosing herself in her mind was not fun, really, but it was better than coming to the realization that she thought she was trapped in a neverending hallway.

She heard the footsteps stop in front of her but Margot didn't move. Her breathing was quick, because she was scared. That was the deal with this whole claustrophobia thing. She got lost pretty quick. There weren't a lot of places for her to go that were considered safe to her. But then she felt a hand slide under her chin and lift her head up. She was forced to open her eyes when she flet that. It was such a gentle move. So kind. It was different from being shoved around like an unwanted kitten, as usual.

He wasn't really a boy, more like a young man. An older teenager. Sort of. She didn't know how to describe him. He wasn't wearing a shirt, but he seemed to already have his way of being and acting, and even dressing. She liked that. He wasn't like all of the mean, uptight men around here. Although she had a feeling he wasn't a worker. Though he didn't look crazy. Not that a lot of the patients did, anyway. But he looked kind enough to her. And she immediatley was forced to trust him.

He spoke to her. "Hello, dear. Are you lost? Maybe I can help you." He had just said. She didn't reply with words at first, merely nodding, and taking his hand, and standing up gratefully. But then she thought. He was treating her with gentleness. She should say something, it was only polite. She tried to get the words out of her mouth, and on the third try she managed it. "I'm Margot," she said, merely a whisper. Then, with a bit more confidence, "Who are you?" Well, at least there was some progress.
